UK environmental consultancy and climate-project developer

Safe drinking water that pays for itself through climate finance.

We bring reliable safe drinking water solutions to rural communities around the world.

Water X develops and finances community safe-water systems, deploying the OASIS Box and converting the verified impact into Gold Standard carbon credits. Product is what we deliver. Carbon finance is how it sustains itself.

The problem and the solution

Meeting a real, unmet need for safe water.

Across many rural communities, dependable access to safe drinking water is still out of reach. That unmet, or suppressed, demand is the starting point for everything we do.

The OASIS Box is a deployable safe drinking water system designed for these communities. Once installed, it delivers a steady supply of clean water and is built to be monitored, serviced, and verified to a recognised international standard, so the benefit it creates can be measured rather than assumed.

OASIS Box, on the ground

Clear roles keep the system running and the impact credible.

What we do

A project developer and a climate advisory, with one niche: water.

Water X takes safe-water programmes from first concept to verified carbon credit, and advises the partners building alongside us. For now we go deep on one thing rather than wide across many. Water is not one of the things we do; it is the thing we do.

Core · project development

We build safe-water carbon programmes.

We originate, structure, and operate Gold Standard Safe Drinking Water programmes end to end, from methodology and community consultation through to verified issuance and credit sale.

NGOs, governments, and developers who want to bring their own safe-water or community project to a recognised standard draw on the same team that runs our flagship programme.

Focused

Deep, not wide.

One sector, done to standard, rather than a little of everything. Water is where our methodology, team, and track record live.

Standard-grade

Built for the audit from day one.

Every engagement, whether we develop it or advise it, is structured to survive independent Gold Standard validation and verification.

Proven

A live programme behind the advice.

We are not theorising. A registered programme under verification in Pakistan is the reference every recommendation is grounded in.

The hardware

Inside the OASIS Box: the OASIS Nano solar-RO skid.

Every deployment runs on the OASIS Nano, a containerised, solar-direct reverse-osmosis system engineered as one 6 ft × 4 ft skid. It is what makes the water safe, and what makes the impact measurable.

The Nano treats brackish and chemically contaminated feedwater up to 1,600 ppm TDS, delivering 10,000 litres of safe drinking water a day on just 1.1 kW of solar, with no grid connection and no fossil-fuel back-up.

It is built and pre-commissioned before it ships, installs in a single day on site, and is monitored over LTE and satcom from the moment it is switched on, feeding live telemetry to the WaterHub dashboard that underpins our digital MRV.

The model

How carbon finance pays for clean water.

Providing safe drinking water that was previously out of reach creates a measurable benefit. Under the Gold Standard Safe Drinking Water methodology, that benefit can be issued as carbon credits, and the revenue sustains the programme and funds the next deployment. Four steps, each auditable.

Digital MRV

An AI water-management system that makes the impact measurable.

Credits are only as trustworthy as the data behind them. Our Climate-AI system, OASIS Link, turns every OASIS Box into a continuously monitored, independently auditable source of evidence, the digital backbone of our monitoring, reporting, and verification.

Predictive maintenance

AI models read IoT sensor data, flow rates, pump efficiency and battery health, to predict equipment failure before it happens. Reinforcement learning schedules service to minimise downtime and cost.

Water-quality monitoring

Anomaly detection continuously watches TDS, microbial contamination and pH. Automated alerts flag contamination risk to operators, so response is immediate rather than reactive.

Optimised distribution

Machine learning weighs GIS and population data to place OASIS Boxes where demand is highest, then adjusts supply dynamically as that demand shifts.

OASIS Link · the sensor node

Indicators it emits · for funded & results-based buyers

The numbers your funder already asks for.

OASIS Link doesn’t just read a meter. It emits the specific indicators that results-based programmes, water standards and impact funders already oblige you to report upward — at the device level, timestamped and tamper-evident. The monitoring you’d pay for separately is the same stream that unlocks the disbursement or the credit.

Device-level, not sampled aggregates. Verra’s 2025 revision requires records “for each distributed device”, and Gold Standard sets 95%-confidence / 10%-margin thresholds. Monthly spreadsheet totals satisfy neither — a per-device, timestamped, append-only stream is built for exactly that bar.

OASIS Link vs conventional monitoring

Proof, not paperwork.

Most water programmes track delivery with spreadsheets and the occasional site visit. OASIS Link measures every litre and locks it into an audit-ready record.
